Laminated safety glass
This type of glass is used in shop-front doors and windows, as it has an interlayer between the glass so if it was to break then it would crack not shatter.

Toughened safety glass
Typically used in residential doors and windows, it is stronger than standard glass and can usually withstand an impact. This will shatter into pieces if broken and all fall to the floor. It must be noted it is a safety glass and not a security glass.
